Suffolk: Mini drivers join forces for charity drive

More than fifty members of the East Coast Mini Club took part in the annual East Coast Mini Run from Bury St Edmunds to Southwold, which each year raises hundreds of pounds for a good cause.

Formerly known as Jamie’s Run, after a club member who died, the 75-mile drive was this year held in aid of Suffolk Young Carers, which supports people looking after parents and relatives.

Club treasurer Wendy Mortimer said: “We’ve got all sorts of Minis here – both the classic models and the modern versions. There is even one called Kitten, which has cat’s footprints painted all over the roof.

“The day is a chance for enthusiasts to meet up, check out the cars and have a chat, and also raise money for a good cause.” Read More...
